We are a church that is

Worshipful

In a world of short-lived satisfaction and cheap thrills, we find deep fulfillment in regularly meeting with the living God in public worship. One document from Christian history famously instructs us that “Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.” This means there is a deep satisfaction and fulfillment to be found in the experience of worshiping God. And that experience is not only just for the far-off future of eternity, but also something for us to experience in our lives today. There is nothing on this earth that can compare with knowing and worshiping the living God. Because of this, we come together regularly to experience the joyful, reverent gathering of meeting with our God in public. In him, our hearts find rest. In his presence, there is joy and delight as there is nowhere else and with no one else.

Rooted in Grace

In a world where pragmatism and how-to techniques tend to reign supreme, we long to be rooted deeply in the grace that comes through the person and work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It was Christ who said, “Apart from me you can do nothing.” We take him seriously, so we come seeking him and his grace, with a genuine sense of our need for him, and our dependence on his saving work.

Life-Receiving and Life-Sharing

In a world where life is often considered empty and cheap, we seek to know what true life is, to know where to find it, and therefore also to gladly share it with the world. Scripture locates that life in Christ. But to share in that life also means to share it with others—both with the believing community, and with those outside as well (1 John 1:3-4). Join us! We are (as Martin Luther once said) beggars who have learned where to find bread. Come with us; come receive with us what we have found—eternal rest, a form of food and drink that provides solid, lasting refreshment and satisfaction for our souls.
